Rubbermaid Trash Can
The Rubbermaid trash can is one of my favorite garbage bins on the market. Rubbermaid first rose to prominence several decades ago when it showed that its plastic trash bin was every bit as durable as the popular steel garbage cans at the time. Not only was the Rubbermaid trash can every bit as durable, but it was better able to hold its shape over time. A metal can often gets dented or warped after repeated uses, but a strong plastic can is remarkable for its ability to always bounce back.

Rubbermaid is also a diverse company known for a wide variety of plastic goods. Their kitchen storage containers are ubiquitous in kitchens around the world, dutifully performing their job of storing leftover food in the refrigerator. Anyone in the cleaning industry is also quite familiar with their products.
So why should you choose a Rubbermaid trash can? If you are considering buying one, I should let you know a few things. First of all, these waste bins are not for everyone. Many people nowadays are more concerned buying a beautiful trash can that can act as the centerpiece of their kitchen. Others want a trash can that is ergonomically designed or provides the utmost convenience by automatically opening or closing. If you fall into one of these camps, then a Rubbermaid trash can definitely isn’t for you. These garbage bins are often very plain looking, and they definitely aren’t going to open and close automatically. What they WILL do is last a whole lot longer than other garbage bins. A Rubbermaid trash can will hold more trash, and will survive any weather or anything that a pet or child can think to do to it. In other words, it can perform the job of being a trash can like no other trash can!
Some of the trash cans that Rubbermaid offers are:
Spring Top Waste Can with LinerLock
Dual Action Waste Can
Step-on Waste Can
Push-in Bullet Waste Can
Roll Top Waste Can
All of these models are excellent kitchen trash cans. All of them have lids, which is generally desirable in a kitchen trash can, so that the smell is mostly contained within the can and is not permitted to permeate around the kitchen and house. If a lid isn’t your cup of tea, there are also quite a few open basket models that utilize Rubbermaid’s LinerLock technology to keep the bags snug around the rim. There is also a Rubbermaid trash can line which they call “SpaScapes”. These actually are a bit more fashionable then the standard plastic cans that Rubbermaid is known for.
If a kitchen Rubbermaid trash can isn’t for you, don’t forget to look into their high quality outdoor models. Although there are many different kitchen trash cans I recommend to people based on their individual needs, Rubbermaid is the ONLY brand I recommend for outdoor trash cans. No other company can match up to their track record of durable waste bins.
Whichever Rubbermaid trash can you decide on, don’t forget to comparison shop. You can usually save a lot by choosing a store that is running a particular deal or sometimes you can find coupons online.
