Most of the time, any trash bag can rip if it is subjected to enough stress. Any bag can be punctured if the object is sharp enough or forceful enough.

The reason for the wide occurrence of trash bag rips is simple. If you take this simple advice, you will greatly reduce the amount of times that you must deal with a ripped trash bag. Here it is: Most people wait until their trash is overflowing before they take it out! Once a trash bag is overflowing, there is a lot of stress placed on the bag, the bag is bulging, and it’s hard to tie. If you can muster the discipline to take out the trash when it is about 80% full or at a certain time each day; then you will have a smooth garbage experience for most of the time.
